Nancy Nicoll is the Vice President of the Indirect Sourcing Center of Excellence for Retail Business Services, the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA. Retail Business Services serves a portfolio of five omnichannel grocery brands, including Stop & Shop, Food Lion, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Giant Food, which collectively operate more than 2,100 stores and have some of the most extensive supply chain operations on the East Coast. Retail Business Services leverages scale to drive synergies and provides innovative solutions, as well as industry-leading expertise, insights and analytics to local brands to support their strategies. Nicoll oversees the development and deployment of a best-in-class strategic sourcing organization across multiple campuses.
Based in Salisbury, N.C., Nicoll works to create a partnership model where stakeholder relationships are the pillar of the sourcing process and to drive operational performance for Retail Business Services. She creates a culture of continuous improvement for her team of 39 associates and for Retail Business Services.
Nicoll has a 16-year tenure with Ahold Delhaize USA companies, and has served in continuous leadership roles including Director of Not for Resale and Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing for Delhaize America. Prior to working for Delhaize America, she held leadership positions with TOYS R US and LORD & TAYLOR.
Nicoll earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Denison University. She lives in Concord, N.C., with her son, Griffin.
Carl Freeman serves as Vice President of ADUSA Distribution’s Campus in York, Pa. In this role, he provides strategic leadership, drives operational excellence and supports third-party relationships. He has extensive experience guiding large teams, developing talent, building a performance culture and serving as a network change agent.
The highly automated York campus supports the more than 300 stores that make up The GIANT Company and GiantFood.
Prior to joining ADUSA Distribution in August 2020, Freeman spent 10 years with Mars Wrigley North America as Site Director and Manufacturing Director for operations in
Elizabethtown, Pa., and Toronto, Canada. He was responsible for global manufacturing and production of chocolate liquor and regional manufacturing and distribution of Dove, 3 Musketeers, Milky Way and Maltesers. He previously held leadership roles at several Fortune 500 companies, including Sara Lee and General Mills.
Freeman has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
Active in community service, he serves as on the board of South Central Pennsylvania
Workforce Development and is a member of the President’s Leadership Council of
Freeman lives in northern Maryland with his wife, Gazelle. They have one son, Anthony, who recently completed his graduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park.
